Tilly Fenton is stepping into the next chapter of her rapidly growing indie-pop career, announcing sophomore EP Serendipity for November 27 alongside new single ‘Rearview’.
Where some of Fenton’s recent releases have leaned into the brighter end of indie pop, ‘Rearview’ digs somewhere more exposed. Produced by Michael Belsar and co-written with Anna Leeworthy, it wrestles with the frustrating limbo of trying to move beyond a relationship while still carrying around everything that was never said.

The accompanying video pushes further into that uneasy headspace. Directed by Michelle Pitiris, aka She Is Aphrodite, it uses distorted mirrors, blurred images and surreal touches to capture the feeling of looking forward while your brain stubbornly keeps checking the rearview mirror.
‘Rearview’ closes Serendipity, a collection built around the glorious confusion of navigating your early 20s. Across tracks including ‘I Just Wanna Kiss You’, ‘Boys In Bars’, ‘Out Of Love’, ‘Overcast’, ‘Better Than This’ and ‘Lucky Girl’, Fenton moves between crushes, heartbreak, friendship, confidence and the sudden moments of doubt that tend to arrive without knocking.
It follows her 2025 debut EP it’s a feeling that I know and continues a rise that began with a TikTok campaign to support American singer-songwriter Lexi Jayde on tour. That campaign worked, landing Fenton the sole support slot, and she has since shared stages with Aleksiah, Seb Szabo, Tonight Alive and Mariae Cassandra.
With ‘Lucky Girl’ becoming her most-streamed single to date and Melbourne and Sydney shows also in the works for October, Fenton is heading into Serendipity with plenty of momentum. ‘Rearview’ shows another side of her songwriting along the way, swapping carefree pop for something messier, more vulnerable and considerably harder to shake.
