Track: Tourists – Lego Man plus news of signing to Modern Sky

Torquay five piece Tourists have released a shimmering new single, ‘Lego Man’, in anticipation of a much awaited new album later this year, and on announcing news of signing to record label Modern Sky.

Singer Jamie Giles describes Lego Man as:

…a song about love turning sour. It fascinates me how love can turn into something dark, cruel and possessive in its nature.

Shards of crystalline guitars permeate the gorgeous soundscapes awash with keyboards and muscular bass lines, with Giles’s distant haunting voice painting a melancholic, cinematic vista. The effect is something that is psychedelic and immersing – similar effects found in the accompanying video:

This is impeccable shoegaze/dream pop that soars sky high. The single is out now digitally through Modern Sky and all the usual download/streaming sites.

‘Lego Man’ follows the release of the singles ‘Align’ and ‘Smokescreen’, released in late 2019-early 2020 respectively, both taken from their debut Another State. Prior to theses singles, Tourists self-released a string of early introductory tracks to the world with their single ‘Cut and Run’ (2016) and ‘Quiet Room’ reviewed by Backseat Mafia.

Tourists are Jamie Giles, Scott Morton, Matthew White, Lloyd Bastow and Tom Wilkinson.
