Countdown to Rebellion – Day 8: Introducing Cat & The Underdogs

Sex. Drugs. Rock N Roll! Like most good rock n roll stories that are worth telling, one of those three can be the catalyst and often more than one, if not all of them! Cat & The Underdogs story follows that template in that Åke (guitar), was at a party in their native Sweden, when Jarle (bass) approached him and asked if he wanted to start a band. He already had a drummer and another guitarist and so Cat & The Underdogs was born. They chewed through a few singers on their way, first playing covers and then writing their own material, eventually recruiting Thomas on vocals.

Cat & The Underdogs play the kind of Punk they grew up with between 1977-1980 and the band is not ashamed to carry a good tradition of Punk Rock’n’Roll into the future.

I don’t know much about the band apart from these few video clips, but I do know that a certain AJ Phink from The Punk Site will be there getting his feline fix!!
