A lot has been written about Preston’s finest, not all of it complimentary. They are the epitome of a marmite band. Legendary music journalist Mick Middles described them as the worst band he’d ever seen, which is quite an accolade, considering some of the dross that he must have had to endure during his tenure at Sounds!

They are renowned for having a love/hate relationship with their audience, with one fan taking to Social Media in 2021 to post “it’s bad news I’m afraid, got tickets for Evil Blizzard tomorrow night and I’ve just tested negative for Covid-19, so I’ll have to bloody go now!”.

Indeed, fans have been known to curse their luck when their order of the bands music drops through their letterboxes!

Hiding behind masks for anonymity, as much to protect their families rather than their own identities, Evil Blizzard are seasoned regulars, who will be bringing their brand of bass heavy, drum and bass sludge punk to the Pavilion stage on Sunday 6th Aug at 22:55, bringing the curtain down on another Rebellion Festival. So, after Bob Vylan have finished their set on in the Empress Ballroom, you’ve got under an hour to make your excuses and leave, or simply grab another pint and join Mick down the front.
