GALLERY: Hidden Door Festival – Edinburgh 18.06.2022

This year Edinburgh’s Hidden Door festival was based at the old Royal High School on Calton Hill. This festival takes derelict buildings and sites and brings them back to life thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers. It is a hugely ambitious undertaking, ten days of live music, visual art, dance, theatre and spoken word. The school closed in the 1960s and the building has been mainly silent which is heart-breaking considerable its beauty and location. It was temporarily brought back to life thanks to Hidden Door, celebrating Scotland’s exciting new and emerging creative talent as well as hosting a number of very exciting artists. The site was free from 1pm to 5pm every day making it accessible to all.

These are photos from the last night including: PVA, Warmduscher, Benefits, Cheap Teeth, Kaputt and Casual Drag. Already on the list for the 2023 early bird tickets. Highly recommended.
