Gallery: Lyra at Leeds Arena 22.11.22

On a cold November evening, Irish singer/songwriter Lyra descended on to the Leeds Arena stage as the support slot for fellow Irish musicians, Westlife.

Her music in the past has been compared to the likes of Florence and the Machine, Kate Bush and Enya and it’s clear to see why. Her stage presence is magical and captivating, her singing voice a complete contrast to her strong County Cork accent, it soars around the full room. The standout song of the evening was the remarkable Falling, who some may recognise from being on Love Island and also used on Grey’s Anatomy. The 2019 hit memorable for all the right reasons and hyped up the crowd on a chilly Tuesday evening. Closing her set with a rousing rendition of the Stevie Nicks classic Edge of Seventeen, she most certainly won the crowd over and hopefully bagged herself a few new fans along the way.

As a singer in her twenties, the future is bright for Lyra who has already made a name for herself in her native Ireland, appearing on various different tv shows. She is embarking on a UK tour in April next year, you can view all the dates below:
