Idles ‘TANGK’ world tour stops in Birmingham for a second sold out night. This show was not part of the original tour dates, but the band had to add a second night due to phenomenal demand.

The band showing no signs of slowing down after a gruelling touring schedule which started in 2023 and has seen them play all over the world, but for tonight they call Birmingham home.

The Bristol 5 piece entered the o2 Academy, which was rammed both floor to ceiling and went straight into Idea 01 from latest release ‘TANGK’

It wasn’t long before middle fingers were in the air, and front man Joe told the crowd to separate into two and then guitarist Lee was in the crowd, surfing and playing guitar as Joe conducted the crowd into frenzy during ‘Colossus’ from their 2018 release ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’

The band talked of tales of drinking with UB40 in Birmingham, and talking about the local venues, its clear to see Joe has a love for the city, and that love is shown back by the Birmingham crowd.

The kings of anti-establishment are never afraid to tackle any subjects in their songs and the band go from strength to strength as the set goes on, leaving the Birmingham crowds surfing ending their set with crowd favourite ‘Danny Nedelko’ and ‘Rottweiler’

Idles continue to push the envelope and prove that punk music is still alive and kicking.
