Adelaide rock legends, The Superjesus rolled into Hobart town on the back of a tour promoting their fourth long-player, the self-titled The Superjesus. The band, Sarah McLeod on vocals & guitar, bass player Stu Rudd, lead guitarist Cameron Blokland and surprise drummer, Mick Skelton worked their way through the entirety of the latest album before the band pumped out some of their greatest hits from across their first two (and platinum award winning) albums, Sumo and Jet Age at North Hobart’s Republic Bar & Cafe.

A near capacity crowd of super-fans saw the band in fine fettle, with the outfit obviously enjoying their time on stage and carrying the love and adoration of the devoted crowd. The ageless Sarah McLeod always resonates with her magnetic personality and powerhouse performances making it difficult to take one’s eyes off of her, though the rest of the band certainly caught all of our attentions with their superb individual playing skills and tight, driving rock rhythms.

The Superjesus were ably backed by local Tasmanian rockers, Jax & The Wayward who revved the crowd up and set the mood with a solid set of driving rock and roll.
