Royal Blood played the Olympia Theatre on Halloween night, 31st Oct 2023.
Hot Wax opened the night leaving no one indifferent. The young band from Hastings in East Sussex was the perfect appetiser to warm up the crowd before the main show.
Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, accompanied by Darren Watts on the keys, showed up in costumes for their second night in Dublin.
The band suggested on their social media platforms that the fans should attend in “fancy dresses” and their message was heard. The gig felt like a proper Halloween party enlivened by blasting guitar riffs and strong drum beats. From Mario and Luigi to skeletons and zombies, there was a wicked atmosphere that felt very alive even on the Day of the Dead eve.
Dublin was the last stop of the UK+IE leg for the band before heading off to the United States.
