New Music: Cultfever return with new track, Gloria

It’s been a while but Brooklyn duo Cultfever are back with a new track, Gloria. The pair, Jafar and Durniak, met in 2010 and quickly formed the band, going on to release a self-titled album in 2011, and an EP, Animals, a couple of years later.

The band have released Gloria as they put the final touches to their second long-player, and if the rest of the album is like this then there’s plenty to be excited about. It’s stripped back synth-pop, with these added spidery guitars and assorted swells and little chiming melodic figures thrown in. More than that though, it has this sugary melody that melts around your ears and sticks to your memory.

Lovely stuff.

Gloria is out on 21st October.
