New Music: Eaves releases ‘Timber’, from his forthcoming debut EP on Heavenly Recordings

On the heels of his debut track As old as the grave, which gained plaudits and gushing praise from the music press, Leeds based singer songwriter Eaves has released a second track from his debut EP, As old as the grave, which drops on Monday 10th November on Heavenly Recordings. Its available on limited 7inch and download.

Timber, recorded at the archaic Greenmount Studios in Leeds is a beautiful stripped back piano ballad about, according to Eaves, “work hard whilst you’ve got the chance and get the hell out sort of song. It touches on dreams, death, the idea of home, old jobs, and of where I want to be and working out how to get there.”

It has this tumbling emotion about it, with space given for the words, warm chords and hopeful twists and turns not able to quite hide the emotion contained within. It’s lovely, emotion drenched music, and marks out Eaves for essential listening.

Check him out in his own headline show in London, at the Blue Flowers night at George IV in Chiswick on Thursday 6th November. Grab yourself a ticket, here http://www.seetickets.com/event/blue-flowers-eaves-guests/the-george-iv/819713/
