Lover Go is the debut single from Welsh electronic artist MRGD, aka London based Marged Sion. Described as “the distance between the emotional entanglement within a controlling relationship and the strength and empowerment of being able to move on”, the track features production from SAKIMA, who’s previously worked with Ryan Hemsworth and Cyril Hahn.
Lover Go is shrouded in echo and atmosphere, as Sion’s vocal floats effortlessly over the top of this bubbling synth line and cascades of percussion. As warm as it is emotive, Lover Go will have you reaching for your hankies (do people still each for hankies at times of emotion?) or staring at the ceiling in darkened rooms. Brilliant stuff.
