New Music: Dutch indie rockers Stillwave release new single, From Here

Utrecht’s finest export, Stillwave, today release their third in a series of singles leading up to the recording of their much anticipated debut LP.

‘From Here’ opens up clean, fresh and alluring, as it drags you along in an almost dreamlike incantation. If you listen closely, you’ll find elements similar to ‘Karma Police’, but the deep harmonious vocals, reverb laden guitar, and driving drumbeats are fast becoming Stillwave’s signature sound and leave you in no doubt who’s at the helm.

Since their debut releases, ‘Slow Binders’ and ‘Tarmac Plains’, Stillwave have received many accolades both in their native Holland, ( where they topped the Dutch Indie charts ) and here in the UK, where they return at the end of July to play two shows back to back as part of Sheffields Tramlines Festival. Don’t be fooled by the sublimity of ‘From Here’, a Stillwave gig is usually quite an incendiary affair, often ending in nothing short of chaos.

Catch Stillwave live at:

Centre Spot, Sheffield – Thurs’ 23rd July

Washington, Sheffield – Fri’ 24th July

‘From Here’ is available now via Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and other major online outlets.
