Buffalo Traffic Jam sound like open roads, weathered boots and conversations that happen after midnight. The Bozeman, Montana duo have announced their Down Under Tour 2026, heading to Australia this October and November for shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Made up of Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross, Buffalo Traffic Jam first crossed paths as students at Montana State University before turning dorm-room sessions into a project rooted in storytelling and stripped-back acoustic warmth.
Their music leans into classic folk textures, but there is something more contemporary in the emotional detail. Rich harmonies, spare instrumentation and vocals that carry longing, joy and all the blurred territory between have helped the duo find an audience well beyond Montana.
That rise has accelerated quickly. Latest release Take Me Home EP has clocked more than eight million streams, while earlier singles Forgot Your Roots and Rescue Me first sparked online momentum and led to a deal with Arista Records.
They also head out on tour with rising country songwriter Dylan Gossett, further proof that Buffalo Traffic Jam are slipping neatly between folk, country and Americana audiences.
