At just 23 years old, Charlie Jeer has emerged as one of the UK’s most compelling new electronic artists. Blurring the lines between jazz, deep house and neo-soul, the producer, songwriter and saxophonist has amassed more than 150 million streams in little over two years. This November, Australian audiences will finally get the chance to experience his acclaimed live show when he makes his debut visit to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The Australian dates follow the announcement of Jeer’s first UK and European headline tour, capping off a remarkable period of growth for the fast-rising independent artist. Since launching his solo project in 2023, Jeer has built a devoted international following through his distinctive blend of hypnotic saxophone melodies, soulful songwriting and club-ready electronic production.
Breakthrough single ‘Her Eyes’ introduced listeners to his genre-defying sound, while a succession of viral releases and an audience of more than 620,000 followers on TikTok have established him as one of Britain’s fastest-growing young artists.
Jeer’s rapid ascent has also translated to the live stage. This year he has shared bills with dance music heavyweights David Guetta at the opening night of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and Becky Hill at Canterbury Live, while his sold-out headline performances in London and Istanbul have demonstrated the growing international appetite for his music.
His debut EP, Everything Is Temporary, further showcased an artist unconcerned by genre boundaries, weaving jazz improvisation, electronic production and contemporary R&B into a cohesive and deeply personal body of work. A collaboration with British singer Mahalia and an upcoming single featuring actor and musician Simone Ashley only reinforce his growing crossover appeal.
Support has come from across the music industry, with outlets including COLORS, GQ, Hunger, Notion and Spotify championing his work, while artists such as Calvin Harris, Black Coffee, Jamie Jones and Laurence Guy have all thrown their support behind Jeer’s music.
Known for incorporating live saxophone into his performances, Jeer’s concerts occupy a space somewhere between a jazz session and a late-night club set, balancing technical musicianship with irresistible grooves. As his international profile continues to rise, his first Australian headline tour offers local audiences the opportunity to catch one of the UK’s most exciting new talents at a pivotal moment in his career.
