London trio bar italia have been building quite a reputation for their minimalist brand of cool indie rock, and this has lead to their signing with iconic US label Matador and the release of new single ‘Nurse!’.

With its louche, laconic style and dual vocals, this is an enigmatic and slow burning fuse of a track, filled with atmosphere and spaces and distant observant vocals. Twinkling guitars and a steady rhythmic pace are augmented by a fuzzy backdrop and shifting layers with a call and response repartee between the male and female vocals.

The accompanying video captures the band static amongst a fast moving world and staring with blank visages, matching the deadpan vocals.

Out through Matador and Remote Control, you can download and stream the single here and through the link below.

The band play a run of UK and European headline shows in May and will appear at festivals this summer including Primavera Sound Barcelona and Madrid, Latitude, Midi Festival and End Of The Road.
