News: G Flip announces third album ‘Dream Ride’

After a string of bold singles, G Flip has announced their third studio album, ‘Dream Ride’, out globally on 5 September 2025 via AWAL Recordings.

Leaning into a vivid palette of ’80s synths, booming drums and fluorescent pop textures, Dream Ride presents G Flip’s most emotionally charged and musically expansive work to date. Both sonically nostalgic and lyrically personal, it marks a significant evolution in their creative arc.

The album was co-written and co-produced with long-time collaborator Aidan Hogg, and features previously released singles ‘Disco Cowgirl’ and ‘Big Ol’ Hammer’, along with upcoming single ‘In Another Life’, due out Friday 11 July.

G Flip continues to break ground as one of Australia’s most boundary-pushing artists — merging virtuosic drumming with pop-forward songwriting and a proudly queer perspective. Their journey from breakout artist to ARIA Award-winning cultural figure has been defined by fearless authenticity and genre-blurring originality.

Following the chart-topping success of their second album Drummer — which hit #1 on the ARIA charts, scored the J Award for Australian Album of the Year, and sold over 65,000 tickets globally on its accompanying tour — Dream Ride positions G Flip as a fully formed pop auteur.

From sold-out headline shows across Australia, the US and UK to festival appearances and a surprise on-stage cameo by Mike Shinoda, G Flip has built a global reputation for explosive live performances and unfiltered self-expression. With over 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, their trajectory shows no sign of slowing.

To celebrate the single and album announce, G Flip is hosting a series of exclusive fan events across the East Coast:

FRIDAY JULY 11 – Brisbane
MONDAY JULY 14 – Sydney
TUESDAY JULY 15 – Melbourne
