News: Jet announce second leg of their Rumblin’ Regional Revue Tour

Twenty-five years after first emerging from Melbourne’s south-east with a sound that would conquer radio stations and festival stages around the world, Jet are proving there’s still plenty of fuel left in the tank. Following a successful run through regional Australia earlier this year, the band have announced a second leg of their Rumblin’ Regional Revue Tour, taking in 11 centres across the country this October and November.

Beginning in Canberra before rolling through Wollongong, Erina, Hobart, Forth, Toowoomba, Coolum Beach, the Gold Coast, Traralgon and Ballarat, the tour will conclude at Frankston’s Pier Bandroom, bringing one of Australian rock’s most enduring acts back to audiences beyond the major capitals.

Jet’s return to the road continues a remarkable resurgence for the Melbourne quartet. Since reuniting in 2023 to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their blockbuster debut Get Born, the band have enjoyed a renewed wave of momentum, culminating in their induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame and a string of acclaimed performances alongside Lenny Kravitz on his Australian Blue Electric Light tour.

Few Australian rock bands have enjoyed the global impact of Jet. Their 2003 debut sold more than 6.5 million copies worldwide and transformed tracks like ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, ‘Rollover DJ’ and ‘Look What You’ve Done’ into modern rock staples. Follow-up album Shine On cemented the band’s knack for combining swagger with irresistible hooks, while their live reputation has remained intact across decades and changing musical landscapes.

Joining Jet on most dates are Sydney upstarts Liquid Zoo, whose blend of Stones-inspired swagger and Strokes-like cool has quickly earned them attention. Tasmanian audiences will instead be treated to support from Hobart psychedelic blues outfit Spooky Eyes, veterans of stages shared with Foo Fighters, Jack White and Wolfmother.
