Sydney singer-songwriter Milina Mihic has unveiled her long-awaited new single, ‘Stay With Me’, alongside news that her debut EP, The Man You Remember, will be released on July 21 after four years in the making.
Steeped in nostalgia and emotional complexity, ‘Stay With Me’ finds Mihic exploring the murky territory of relationships, accountability and the desire to be fully understood. Influenced by the confessional songwriting of Jeff Buckley, Phoebe Bridgers and Elliott Smith, the track combines warm vocals with intricate production and sweeping orchestral arrangements, creating something both intimate and quietly cinematic.
Originally written when she was just 17, the song has remained a constant presence in Mihic’s life. Now, after years of revisiting and refining it, ‘Stay With Me’ emerges as a deeply personal reflection on misunderstandings, self-awareness and the painful realisation that relationships rarely unravel because of one person alone.
The single serves as another glimpse into The Man You Remember, a project Mihic describes as the product of years of hard work, perseverance and emotional investment. If ‘Stay With Me’ is any indication, the Sydney artist’s long-awaited debut promises to be a compelling introduction to a songwriter unafraid of exposing life’s most difficult conversations.
