Brighton based Keg have released new single ‘NPC’ taken from the band’s upcoming EP Girders set for release 2 September via Alcopop! Records/BMG.  It’s the third single lifted from the EP and follows ‘Kids‘ and ‘Elephant‘. However ‘NPC‘ is a departure from Keg’s previous material. With thought-provoking lyrics reflecting serious subject matter and an opening synth line which demands your attention, it is both haunting and arresting. There is still the slightly chaotic edge within the sonic environment but this only enhances the theme.

On the new track Keg say:
Written from the perspective of a person who has been subjected to sonic torture and forgotten their body and soul. Sonic torture of all kinds is a terrifying technique which is widely employed by many governments, I wrote this after reading about the British armies use during The Troubles in the late 70s.”
