News: Mumford & Sons Announce 2026 Arena Tour of Australia and New Zealand

Mumford & Sons will return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026, bringing their full arena show to Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland in support of their forthcoming album Prizefighter. The run marks their first major regional tour in several years and follows their one-night-only return to the Sydney Opera House earlier this year — a reminder of the enduring connection they’ve built with audiences across the two countries.

The 2026 shows arrive at a pivotal time for the band. Prizefighter, their sixth studio album, lands on 13 February and was co-produced and co-written with Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio, a collaboration that continues the group’s recent shift into more expansive, textural songwriting. The record features contributions from Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez, signalling another chapter in a career shaped by creative partnerships and a willingness to pull their sound into new territory. It also follows last year’s Rushmere, which debuted at No. 1 in the UK and supported a sold-out global arena run.

Across their history, Mumford & Sons have built a reputation as a live band first, evolving from London pubs to festival headliners, collecting Grammys along the way while maintaining a focus on connection — whether on massive global stages or in more intimate community-stopover projects. Collaborations with artists such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Brandi Carlile and Joni Mitchell have further shaped their trajectory, underscoring their place in the broader folk-rock landscape.

Joining all dates are Melbourne favourites Folk Bitch Trio, whose harmony-driven songwriting and sharp lyrical edge make them a natural fit for the tour.

The Prizefighter Australia & New Zealand Tour begins on 25 April at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, continues to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 29 April, and concludes at Auckland’s Spark Arena on 2 May.

The Secret Sounds and Live Nation Presales start Thursday 4 December, 10am until Friday 5 December, 10am or until allocation is exhausted.

To purchase presale tickets, sign up now at livenation.com.au/register, livenation.co.nz/register or secretsounds.com/register.
