Rufus Wainwright has announced 10 not to be missed UK summer shows. Armed with one of modern music’s best back catalogues, an incredible voice and a between song chat to rival anyone, these shows will be a real treat. The son of Loudon Wainwright III has released eight studio albums including the landmark ‘Want One’,and his most recent – 2016’s Take all my loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets.
His classic album, “Rufus Does Judy” recorded at Carnegie Hall in 2006, was nominated for a Grammy. He performed the show in the UK at the Palladium in 2007 and later for two nights at the Royal Opera House in 2011. His opera ‘Prima Donna’ premiered at the Manchester International Festival in 2009.
