News: Snotty Nose Rez Kids Announce London Headline Show

Snotty Nose Rez Kids are heading to Europe this September, bringing their boundary-pushing take on hip-hop to two key live dates: Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg on September 18, followed by a headline show at London’s Strongroom on September 22.

Cousins Yung Trybez and Young D have spent the past decade developing a sound that refuses easy categorisation. Their music moves between heavyweight beats, incisive social commentary and a playful sense of humour, using rap to explore identity, history and the realities of contemporary Indigenous life without sacrificing its energy or sense of fun.

At the centre of the duo’s European campaign is ‘RED FUTURE’, their 2024 album and the latest chapter in an already remarkable run. Released through Sony Music Entertainment Canada, the record pushes Snotty Nose Rez Kids’ sound further while retaining the directness and personality that have defined the duo since their earliest releases.

The album went on to earn Snotty Nose Rez Kids the 2025 Juno Award for Rap Album of the Year, making them the first Indigenous artists to take home the award. It marked another significant milestone for a duo who have received seven Juno nominations, been shortlisted for Canada’s Polaris Prize four times and collected 16 Western Canadian Music Awards, alongside a Prism Prize win for ‘Damn Right’.

Away from the studio, Snotty Nose Rez Kids have built a reputation for making their live shows an essential part of the experience. Four North American headline tours have been followed by support slots alongside artists including Cypress Hill, PUP, Prof, Tom Morello and Chance the Rapper. Two headline Australian tours and appearances at festivals including BIGSOUND and VIVID have further helped establish their growing international audience.

Their European dates offer another opportunity to bring that live energy to new audiences. Reeperbahn Festival will put the duo in front of an international music industry audience in Hamburg, before their London headline show at Strongroom gives UK fans the chance to experience the full SNRK live set.

For listeners discovering them for the first time, ‘RED FUTURE’ offers an immediate introduction to what makes Snotty Nose Rez Kids so distinctive: music that can be politically charged without becoming inaccessible, deeply rooted without being confined by genre, and serious in subject matter while retaining a mischievous streak.

With their reputation continuing to grow beyond Canada, Snotty Nose Rez Kids arrive in Europe with a catalogue, live show and track record that demand attention.

Live dates:

September 18, Hamburg, Germany, Reeperbahn Festival, UWE, 11.30pm

September 22, London, UK, Strongroom, headline show
