News: Tom Cherry Returns with Heartfelt Sophomore EP ‘Semi Skimmed’

Essex-born singer-songwriter Tom Cherry releases the new EP Semi Skimmed. Known for his raw lyrical honesty and acoustic-driven sound, Cherry’s latest work deepens his exploration of life’s messy beauty, from nights soaked in euphoria to questions of faith and fleeting romance.

The four-track EP delivers youthful songwriting, blending toe-tapping country flecks of banjo and sweeping violin with Cherry’s early Ed Sheeran-esque singer-songwriter approach. Each track feels like a confessional, laced with the sort of unfiltered storytelling that has quickly become his hallmark.

“The Semi Skimmed projects were written and inspired by the last three years of experience. We wrote the songs to get people to vibe as well as feel more connected to their experiences.” says Cherry.

This ethos of connection rings through every note of the EP. Cherry’s music feels lived-in, conversational, and unmistakably British. Whether chronicling the chaos of a night out or mulling over spiritual truths, Cherry brings a depth and emotional intelligence that cuts through.
