PREMIERE: Experimental Baltimore pair The Furniture announce debut album with ‘Strom’

Leaning on the gradual mutation of blissful soundscapes, yet with something darker lurking underneath, Baltimore duo The Furniture today announce their debut album with an assist from us at Backseat Mafia.

The self-titled record is due early next year, and we’re offering you a first look at the video for lead track ‘Strom’, a meditative 5-minute piece that straddles the line between ambient and post-rock. Tune in below.

Speaking about the album, the pair say that they’ve tried to tell a story, not in the narrative sense but in a spatial sense. Like walking, running, driving or even flying from one place to another. In a way, representing the objects, people or even thoughts and emotions that you might experience, traveling from one spot to another.’

The Furniture arrives on Friday January 28th 2022 via Spanish Prayers.
