Onceweresixty hail from Italy and are about to release a double EP ‘Loco Sunset Boulevard / Ghetto Blast Noise Machine’ through Ugly Dog Records. As a taste of what’s to come, we present their single ‘Don’t Get Stuck’: a glorious slice of jingle jangle indie pop that has an atmospheric build like a slow burning fuse.

With clear genetic links to US college indie rock, a touch of Dinosaur Jnr or Galaxie 500 mixed in with David Berman/The Silver Jews, and REM, ‘Don’t Get Stuck’ shimmers like a star in the firmament with its gentle reflective delivery and melodic refrain. This is clearly a band that can deliver immersive music crafted with melody and sparkle:

‘Don’t Get Stuck’ is out on 23 January 2024 and available to download and stream through all the usual sites.

The double EP, due out 22 March, took form at Villa Albrizzi Marini in the Venice countryside hills en route to the Alps. Onceweresixty set up their studio on this 1400-villa property, owned by the Armenian Church. Marco Lorenzoni explains:

The Villa – an ongoing project of urban regeneration via art activism – is absolutely inspiring and amazing, and we’re glad to be part of it. Onceweresixty and our own label Uglydog Records have always been at the forefront of promoting the arts, supporting artists and creating social connections. This is our little Warhol Factory in the countryside.

An early listen reveals this is something quite special. You can pre-order it here.
