Rising country-pop artist Margaux Regan has officially announced her debut EP, After Thought, arriving January 23rd, 2026. Ahead of the release, she shares her latest single ‘Obsessed’ today, offering another glimpse into the emotional honesty and empowerment that shape the upcoming collection – we’re very excited to be running the exclusive premiere!

A shimmering blend of country, Americana and pop, ‘Obsessed’ channels the storytelling charm of Taylor Swift’s early catalog while carving out a distinct space for Margaux’s own voice. Co-written with producer Ian Holmes at Soho Sonic Studios, the track blatancies a beautiful warmth with a commercial edge whilst continuing the emotional sincerity and story telling lyricism of previous releases the single is a radiant addition to the artists growing catalogue.

Regan’s silky vocals glide over strummed acoustic guitars, plucky banjo, driving drums and warming bass to ultimately build a soundscape which has a country twang whilst bringing a radio ready pop sheen.

Speaking about the track, Margaux shares:
“This song is about owning that obsessive side of having a crush – the one many young women can relate to but are made to feel bad about. I wanted to approach it with humor and a bit of sarcasm, like Carrie Underwood meets Sabrina Carpenter.”

Margaux’s upcoming debut 4 track EP After Thought promises radiant and intimate coming-of-age songwriting, capturing the insecurities and pitfalls of growing up as well as her journey working through vocal cord issues that forced her to reconsider her relationship with music. A mixture of tracks penned solely by Margaux, one alongside a close friend, the new single with Ian Holmes while many of the others composed on the floor of her bedroom, span the transition from nineteen to twenty-one over well balanced soundscapes which bring blends organic instrumentation and contemporary pop sensibilities.

“The title mirrors my inner world and the way I process my experiences,” she shares. “These songs are the thoughts that linger after everything else has been said.”
