Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Zachary Leo is once again gracing our playlists with his latest single, ‘Time After Time’, set to release tomorrow on the 26th of October and which we are proud to premiere today along with the video.

Produced and mixed by the maestro Tobias Priddle and mastered by the talented Pieter De Wagter, this track is an infectious blend of rhythms and melodies that showcases Zachary Leo’s distinctive style.

‘Time After Time’ stands out with its seamless fusion of infectious rhythms and soulful melodies. Leo’s spirited vocals soar above punching bass lines and retro synthesizers, creating a modern funk masterpiece. From the very first notes, you’ll find yourself entrapped in its magnetic rhythm, a catchy tune that’s guaranteed to stay with you all day. Leo says of the track:

‘Time After Time’ is a song about a conflict that has arisen between two people in a relationship, when one person isn’t being the best version of themselves. The song is sung from that persons perspective as they try to piece together what has caused these problems and how they can make amends. The song constantly shifts between external and internal dialogue and is a mirror into overthinking and overanalysing situations.

It’s the kind of song you’d expect to hear while rummaging through vintage clothing racks at your local thrift store, or as the soundtrack to a sun-soaked picnic with your closest friends, complete with chilled moscato. The groove is irresistible, and the lyrics are the perfect companion to a carefree day.

‘Time After Time’ isn’t just about auditory pleasures; it’s also a visual treat. The music video, meticulously directed, shot, and edited by Brandon Carr Films, transports us to a lush field. The camera’s lens weaves a dreamy tapestry, combining retro aesthetics with a modern charm. The video showcases multiple still shots of Zachary Leo as his own band, creating a nostalgic vibe, almost like a retro novelty. It’s a trendy feast for the eyes that perfectly complements the track’s sonic journey.

In celebration of the release, prepare to be captivated as Zachary Leo takes the stage on the following dates:

November 4th – Northcote Social Club supporting Great Gable

December 8th – The Gasometer (Upstairs) – Single Launch

It’s a unique opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the magic, to be part of an unforgettable live experience that promises to be etched in your memory. But the excitement doesn’t stop there; be sure to mark your calendars for yet another electrifying event as he lends his support to the incredible Great Gable at Northcote Social Club on the 8th of December. Zachary Leo has already shared the stage with notable acts like Cub Sport, Thirsty Merc, and Pacific Avenue, not to mention selling out multiple headline shows. His live performances are a testament to his talent and should not be missed.

So, if you’re in the mood for a modern funk journey with a side of retro charm, ‘Time After Time’ is the track for you. Zachary Leo’s latest offering is a testament to his evolving artistry and ability to craft songs that resonate with both your heart and dancing shoes. Don’t miss out on this gem, and be sure to catch Zachary Leo live to experience the magic up close and personal.
