Dan Croll, the 26 year old über-talented, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter from Newcastle-under-Lyme, returns with the new single ‘Bad Boy’ from his forthcoming album ‘Emerging Adulthood’. The single and album are both released on July 21st on Communion Records.

‘Bad Boy’ is written by Croll and produced by Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Cee Lo Green) and like the rest of ‘Emerging Adulthood’ sees Croll playing all the instruments. It’s a perfect slice of sumptuous indie pop with hooks galore that could have come off a soundtrack to a John Hughes teen-com. It is really rather addictive and will have you humming the catchy chorus for days.

The accompanying video is directed by Greg Barnes who has worked previously with Croll and sees the singer moving between various characters and alter egos. I suppose this mimics Croll in the studio as he plays all the parts in his one man band.

Forthcoming album ‘Emerging Adulthood’ promises to be a similarly sumptuous, shape-shifting, surprise-packed pop triumph if ‘Bad Boy’ is any indication and we very much look forward to hearing it.

Dan Croll will be playing UK festivals this summer including Citadel and Latitude. He will also tour the US this September.
