See: Joan & The Giants unveil poignant and empowering video for the effervescent ‘Cool Kid’.

Following the release of their single ‘Cool Kid’, Joan & The Giants have released a moving video to accompany the track, visualising the trials and tribulations of a young kid struggling with sexuality and identity but ultimately finding love and support. There shouldn’t be a dry eye in the house after watching this beautiful piece of story telling.

The band teamed up with the Perth Youth Film Academy and it was filmed almost entirely by 14 year old Elwood Bolt, giving it a touching sense of veracity and poignancy,

The band’s lead vocalist, Grace Newton-Wordsworth says of the video:

The ‘Cool Kid’ music video embodies the spirit of the song by showcasing the struggles and triumphs of embracing one’s true self. We wanted to create a visual experience that would resonate with our audience, evoking empathy and empowering them to embrace their uniqueness. Working with the Perth Youth Film Academy has been an incredible collaboration, and we are thrilled to share this powerful story with the world.

The result is as afresh and as zesty as the song itself:

‘Cool Kid’ is out now and available to download and stream here.
