News: Rise Against announce November European Tour

With permission

Chicago Rockers Rise Against have announced a November European tour in support of their UK top ten album ‘The Black Market’. The band, Tim Mcllrath on vocals, guitarist Zach Blair, Joe Principe on bass and drummer Brandon Barnes, will play six dates throughout Britain, starting at the Sheffield O2 Academy, before heading off across Europe.

The bands new single, ‘I don’t want to be here anymore’ encapsulates what the band are about, opening up with these layered, spidery guitar lines before launching into this pulsating punk/hard rock. As Mcllrath puts it “It’s a pretty simple and visceral escapist sentiment…..about not wanting to be in a place, physically or mentally. It’s something most of us have said to ourselves, if not aloud, at some point in our lives. Whether you feel you are being exploited or ignored or you can just imagine a better place, it’s about longing for that place and finally admitting to yourself that you aren’t content with you current situation. But it doesn’t have the answer either. It’s just the first step.”
