Gliss, the new single from Madrid quartet Baywaves, is a follow up to last years debut EP Only For Uz, which saw the band garner support from the UK and beyond, not least here on Backseat Mafia. The band recorded the song during their last tour, which saw them play at Primavera, Benicassim, End Of The Road, Eurosonic, Berlin, Paris and London amongst others, and it’s been mixed by Jarvis Taveniere from Woods.

The track is this rather Summery slice of Real Estate like indie pop. Full of ice cream kisses and fresh air, its driven on by these sweet guitar lines and tumbling bass figures, all topped off with a deliciously catchy melody. Ah, here comes the holdays.

Check it out, here

The band are celebrating the release with a free show at The Waiting Room in London on July 6th, with The Death Of Pop providing support.
