Track: Don & The Dreamers Give Look At Upcoming Debut Album With New Single ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’

Don Powell, drummer of 70s rock hero’s Slade is back with a new project, the fun loving Don & The Dreamers.

Released ahead of their debut full length It’s Never Too Late To Be A Rock Star, the new single ‘Don’t let me be misunderstood’ (a cover, originally performed by Nina Simone) offers a taste of the blue-rock soundscapes you can expect to hear across the album. Soaring vocals, twinkling keys, tight guitar licks, warming bass and Don’s ever driving drums on track which shows that the band have all still got ‘it’ and are more than capable of still smashing out high octane, spotless tunes.

The new single also features organ from Mick Gallagher, a previous member of The Animals before then playing with The Clash and Ian Dury & The Blockheads, and also recording an album with Paul McCartney.
