Exit Kid aren’t afraid to poke fun at it all, their lyrics often studded with irony:
“‘This I Know’ is about how we pull the wool over our own eyes rather than deal with the messiness of reality. An opinion is now a hill to die upon.”
The sweet vocals of Emre Turkmen are an antidote to the crushing distortion of the guitars, before the music twists on the chorus with shimmering synths and the ever constant present of Dylan Bell’s perfect drumming underneath it all. Another brilliant slice of their unique way of adding sweetness to dingy grunge.
