Set yourself for a riotous ride on this rip-roaring, killer of a track by Datura4, featuring Dave Hole.
Datura4 signal the upcoming release of their new album, “Neanderthal Jam“ with the release of their second single, Going Back To Hoonsville, a rollicking collaboration with legendary Perth slide guitarist and bluesman, Dave Hole, who rose to prominence in the 90’s when he was signed to US blues label, Alligator Records.
Datura4 are the current psychedelic blues-rock outfit of Western Australian music icon, Dom Mariani (ex The Stems and Someloves). Datura4’s keyboard player, Bob Patient is also Dave Hole’s long-time sideman, so the pairing for this song came easily.
Hole’s incendiary slide guitar blends in perfectly with the driving boogie that Datura4 lay down, with the song unabashedly grabbing you by the seat of your pants and forcibly taking you on that lysergic trip down to Hoonsville. This is powerhouse music at its’ best.
‘Going Back To Hoonsville’ will open the fifth Datura4 album “Neanderthal Jam” which is out on the 5th August.
“Going Back To Hoonsville” has already been released digitally, and Datura4 will officially launch it on Saturday, 11th June at The Aardvark in Fremantle. Detail and tix available here.
