London five-piece Hexmaze are shimmering under a veil of lurching guitarwork and witchy incantations on their debut single ‘Hex Hex Hex’. They are the musical mergence of Aneta, Alex, Emma, Mel and Sophie – five women brought together from the UK, Sweden, Poland and Mexico, drawing together a mosaic of influences and creative minds. While their instrumental arrangement has the sharp groan of a switchblade, the airy chorus of their voices lifts the track up so that it is almost otherworldly, straddling the boundary between heaven and hell.
