Track: JOY (Anonymous) explore connection on new single ‘JOY (Shit You Make Me Feel)’

JOY (Anonymous) are back with ‘JOY (Shit You Make Me Feel)’, a new single that turns the messy business of human connection into something quietly euphoric.

Following ‘JOY (Light In The Dark)’, the track takes a gentler route through the British electronic duo’s sound. Soft vocals sit over restrained melodies, with the song circling around those people who somehow make us feel everything at once, whether that’s a lover, a friend or somebody who simply makes us feel seen.

The duo have also released the track’s source version, pulling back another layer on their instinctive way of making music. That looseness has increasingly become part of JOY (Anonymous)’s identity, both on record and in live shows where electronic production and live instrumentation meet somewhere between a gig and a communal gathering.

The single arrives as demand for those shows continues to grow. Two October dates at London’s Hackney Church sold out within hours, prompting JOY (Anonymous) to add a third show on October 31. They’ll also play DJ sets supporting Jamiroquai across Latin America this month before joining Ezra Collective for a run of European dates in February 2027.

‘JOY (Shit You Make Me Feel)’ also marks the duo’s first release through their new partnership with Futures Music Group and Common Knowledge. For a band whose music keeps returning to connection, this latest chapter begins with a song about exactly that.
