Track: Lavinia Blackwall – John’s Gone

Lavinia Blackwall, former lead singer of Glasgow psych-folk band Trembling Bells, has announced her debut solo album Muggington Lane Endisout on May 1st, and from it she’s released A new track, John’s Gone.

Frankly, John’s Gone could be one of our favourite songs of the year. And it’s only March. It has this air of classic 60’s songwriting about it, melodies that snare you and wrap themselves tight around you, while she unravels any sense of resistance remaining with her quasi Ray Davis like observations of people and everyday life.
