After releasing a 7″ late last year on Butterfly Effect Records with ‘Lay Me Down Slow’ and ‘Place To Go’, Teesside’s Michael CG is set to release the two tracks digitally.
Both these tracks show the depth of CG’c talent and creative brain. The psych ‘Lay Me Down Slow’ has a touch of T rex’s glam rock and Syd Barretts madness where as ‘Place To Go’ is more restrained avant garde number with compressed bass that blooms into full on rock masterclass of screaming guitars and pounding drums. With both tracks, it’s CG’s vocals that entrance with their delicate and wavering vibrato as he weaves his melodic magic with various instruments.
