Noah Hill has announced the release of his debut solo album, Ok ok now, arriving September 4 via Because Music, alongside the introspective new single ‘Bye Baby’.

Best known as one-fifth of Australian outfit Parcels, Hill steps away from the band’s collaborative dynamic to embrace a quieter, more intimate approach rooted in folk and acoustic pop. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Andy Shauf and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Ok ok now reflects years of songwriting shaped by memory, heartbreak and self-reflection.
Following June’s debut solo single ‘It’s All In My Head’, ‘Bye Baby’ explores the emotional aftermath of a relationship reaching its inevitable conclusion. Built around understated instrumentation and Hill’s restrained vocal delivery, the song traces the uneasy shift from lingering hope to reluctant acceptance. Its accompanying video, directed by Cai Leplaw, captures that emotional transition through the everyday rituals of two people learning to move on.
Rather than presenting a straightforward breakup record, Ok ok now unfolds as a series of fragmented memories, mirroring the way relationships are often recalled long after they end. Written over the course of almost a decade, the songs move between different moments in Hill’s life, reflecting on first love, loss and the slow process of understanding experiences with the benefit of hindsight.
The project also marks a deeply personal creative statement. Hill plays almost every instrument on the album and mixed the record himself, giving Ok ok now an understated warmth that complements its reflective songwriting. The result is a debut that finds the musician exploring a more personal voice while remaining focused on the quiet details that give the songs their emotional weight.
