Riches, the project between Catherine McCandless (Young Galaxy) and choreographer Wynn Holmes, have released their third single ‘Lily’, the first to feature Holmes on vocals. Up to that point the pair, who see the project as a multidisciplinary collaboration of music, dance and performance, with Holmes living in New York and McCandless in Montreal. However, they met in Montreal to record ‘Lily’ fireside in McCandless’s apartment late at night.
Lily is this stately synth pop track, Holmes’s vocal adorning these slow, gluey chord changes for most part, all echoey and shimmering with electronic hue. There’s something ultimately hopeful about the melody, as it floats into your conscious and takes its place there,
