Angular, visceral jaunty pop punks Loose Fit are whipping up a deeply pleasurable storm again with their new single ‘Stupid Drama’. This is a band that defies description, but given it’s my job to do just that, just think something wild and excessive that throws an element of funk into a raw febrile earthy mix, like the progeny of Talking Heads and The Fall raised by The Birthday Party on speed. The new single is intense, danceable and canters forth like a rollercoaster ride without brakes.

‘Stupid Drama’, as the label partially describes, is a dramatic slice of punky pop, with vocalist Anna Langdon’s urgent vocals exhorting and beseeching above a liquid funky bass and a saxophone edging. It’s exhilarating stuff with the relentless bass throbbing like a racing heartbeat and slightly discordant edgy shimmering guitars.

‘Stupid Drama’, available to download and stream here, comes off Loose Fit’s debut album ‘Social Graces’, out through Fatcat Records/Spunk Records on 28 April 2022 and available to pre-order through the link below:
