London R&B duo Temptress share the ethereally produced, sultry and effortlessly infectious new single ‘Cuppa Tea’.
Having already received mass acclaim for previous releases, the duo’s new single adds to their growing catalogue of gorgeous electronic-R&B-alt-pop offerings with another track of warming sonic arrangements and melodic ear-worm melodies.
Swiftly constructing a pillowy musical backdrop which fuses together lo-fi electronic elements, lucid analogue synths, delicate electronic samples, a comforting warm sub bass, and entrancing beats, ‘they ‘Cuppa Tea’ create a backdrop that exudes warmth and musical allure. Speaking about the track, Temptress exaplain: “‘Cuppa tea’ is a tongue and cheek song about early moments getting to know someone.
The sweet taste of the ‘honeymoon’ period where everything just clicks. The track references where we both grew up, playing with UK cliché’s like being someone’s ‘cuppa tea’ & hanging out at a Greasy spoon.”
