Track: Vaughanstrosity – Fl0w

Vaughanstrosity is the solo project of Ruaidhri Houston who you may know as bassist for highly praised Belfast shock rockers, So Long Until The Séance. Since the project’s formation in 2021, concentrated production on fashioning songs and structures led Vaughanstrosity to start work on a new debut EP, Memes And Dreams. Recorded at JSR in Belfast, the EP features the ever-gifted Brett Martin of Nømadus on drums, and good friend Ethan Beatie from EB and The Deadlights, who also helps on vocal duties.

Ruaidhri comments about the project:

“After ages of playing in bands and writing, I decided to strike out on my own in the hope of creating a new wave of party metal. I’m looking to navigate the metal seas to find home on an unclaimed patch of land.”

The projects first single ‘Fl0w’ is out now.

A burst of electronic static is blown away by some hard hitting guitar that sets the scene for the track. Dynamic vocals with a mix of harsh and clean pack a punch echoed by the freight train drumming of Brett Martin. A heavy hitting track that packs a huge punch with its thunderous rhythms and twin vocal attack.
