Track / Video: Lodestar bring the Hammer down with Cushing-inspired video

Experimental rock outfit Lodestar have released their latest offering – Bring Me The Head, taken from their upcoming long player Zonen, which is out tomorrow.

It’s a moody, vengeful track that represents “the delusion that someone else is responsible for your woes. If only you could exact vengeance.  Bring me the head of John the Baptist, Alfredo Garcia, Charlie Brown but surely never you?”

The guitars grind home that feeling, along with an unsettling keyboard riff towards the end, keeping you right on edge. And if that wasn’t enough, take a look at the video that goes along with it.

The legendary Peter Cushing, in his 1957 role as Victor Frankenstein, helps bring the chills that the music itself elicits, and is well worth a watch. You can find it here on YouTube – https://youtu.be/3WFulFX5u7w

Zonen itself is an 11 track album, including the singles; Bring Me The HeadSurrender To The Tide and Flame. It’s been a long time coming, but will no doubt be worth the wait.

Lodestar are playing Heartbreakers in Southampton on 18th May and Desertfest in London on 19th to celebrate the launch of this new record. They’re promising “very heavy, atmospheric songs, delivered with conviction”, and there are more shows to be announced very soon
