Countdown to Rebellion – Day 22: Introducing Clockwork Psycho

Female fronted band from Ljubljana, Slovenia hit Rebellion for the first time, fresh from their appearance at Spain’s Psychobilly Meeting Festival, where they shared the bill with legends King Kurt, Guana Batz and Demented Are Go

Established in 2011 in Ljubljana, first Slovenian female fronted psychobilly band Clockwork Psycho fired up the fury of the punkabilly cocktail and quickly burst onto the international psychobilly scene. If you’re a fan of stand up slap bass then you’ll love these. The band sing in both English and Slovenian

The trio formed when former members of other punk, oi and metal bands from Ljubljana came together in a desire to play psychobilly on their own way. Initial members Clockwork Lilith (doublebass and vocals) and Al Eržen (guitar and backing vocals) invited Dogz, to join them on drums. Due to the members being experienced musicians who’ve been present on Ljubljana’s music scene for quite a while, after no more than half a year of being formed, the band was ready for live shows. Drummer Dogz has since left the band and been replace by Marko Valant. With The Meteors also playing this year’s Rebellion, Clockwork Psycho will be repping the psychobilly community.

Clockwork Psycho hit the AFTER DARK in ARENA 21:30-22:00 – Sat 5th Aug
