Splendour in the Grass is back after the drenching that it copped last year. The line up for Day 2 this year was fantastic. Crowds were reportedly down compared to previous years, but there was still a great vibe and awesome shows to suit all tastes. Here are a few of the artists that Backseat managed to see.

Automatic the 3 piece from LA wowed a smallish crowd in the GW McLennan tent.

Meg Mac dazzled the amphitheatre with her indie pop.

NZ sensation, Benee put everyone in a good mood with some funky tunes and dance moves.

Peach PRC did not disappoint her fans who were all decked out in pink, some even admitting to dyeing their hair pink for their icon.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard wowed with their psychedelic alt rock.

Adorable Jeremy Zucker was joined onstage by Renee and Zucker executed the jump of the festival, soaring metres into the air.

Pussy Riot did not disappoint with their provocative, feminist punk rock.

Headliners, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs kicked off their set with a ferocious version of ‘Spitting Off The Edge Of The World’. Karen O was in fine form, unfurling her colourful cape to reveal a glitzy costume. It was great to have them back in Australia again.

The wonderful Arlo Parks mesmerised the audience with her passionate set, no wonder she has garnered nominations for Brit Awards and has won a Mercury Prize.
