Track: All Kings And Queens – Voodoo

Siblings Joseph and Gabriella (no more information given) make the sort of icy synth pop that is impossible to ignore, demonstrated by their new track, Voodoo. Mixed by Heiko, who has worked with the likes of HAIM in the past, the track bubbles away with layers of synths, this funk filled bassline and little guitar interjections throughout its (all but) three and a half minutes. As it hits the chorus, so things get bigger, harder and (even) more hook laden. Throw in a good old rawk guitar solo, and the kind of chorus that has you humming along almost without thinking, and you’re onto a winner.

Catch them tomorrow (Sept. 24th) at the Waiting Room, Stoke Newington, London – or next month (Oct. 17th) in Leicester, at The Shed on Yeoman Street.
