Despite not actually being doctors, of either the jungle or indeed everything else, London five piece Jungle Doctors have been prescribing healthy doses of indie rock to an increasingly attentive (and growing) band of listeners. That journey, such as it is, began in earnest with the release of their first EP in 2012, and began to accelerate lasy year with the release of a single ‘Dry’, taken from their’Open Up’ EP.
Following on from their recent single ‘The Sun and The Sea’, which reached the #1 on the Soundcloud Indie Rock chart after chalking up 100,000 plays and 4000 downloads in a month, comes Settle. It opens with this bouncy indie rock vibe. It’s got this melody thats impossible not to fall for, and these echo soaked guitars that rattle over eachother, in a secret competition to deliver the most melancholy line. Despite that, it still manages to feel uplifting. Both ‘The Sun and the Sea’ and ‘Settle’ are taken from the bands forthcoming EP, out in June.
