Taken from their debut album Deer Friends, out on July 29th via IndoorShoes, Woods & water is the new track from Niagra / Toronto quartet Limestone Chorus. Describing the album and track as being “heavily rooted in the merging of two themes, our love for Mother Nature and a love for human connection. These themes are what flows from one song to the next and what we hope you begin to get a sense of with this first song. In this song we celebrate the interweaving of nature, love, friendship, moments, and memory”.
It’s straight away this tumbling folk-indie, with the sense of rustic purveying through everything. It’s sort of hopeful and with the guitar sways and sighs, there’s this sense of calm and hope, driven by the chorus, which wraps itself around your ears and settles down in your conscious. It’s rather beautiful stuff.
